Dr. Glenn Weathers attended Auburn University, receiving his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering specializing in Communications Theory in 1972. In his current role, Dr Weathers is responsible for leading the development and advancement of ADT’s core command and control system technology.
Dr. Weathers has managed the development of command, control, and mission planning software for the PATRIOT Tactical Command System - the first US Army type classified and material released tactical operations centres for high and medium altitude air missile defense. He has contributed to the technical algorithms used in the air missile defense mission planning process. He has contributed to the development of the U.S. Army Future Combat System's Communications Network Planner and Terrain Analysis Service.
Dr. Weathers has over forty years of experience working in the Aerospace and Defense industries. He has developed advanced technology for both communications and radar systems, holding several patents and authoring a number of technical journal papers. He has also served as Chairman of the Huntsville Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and currently serves on the Industrial Advisory Board to the University of Alabama in Huntsville Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
